On this site you'll find information on the appearances David made throughout his club and International career.

There's information on each game played (currently some more detailed than others) and also several photos to look through.

Comments / testimonials have also been made from ex-teammates (Dundee Utd and Raith), with regards to what they thought of David as a player and any memories they have of their time playing together. Some of the comments shown include good well wishes for his 60th birthday on 12/06/16, coinciding with the release of this site.

Supporters from both clubs have also been able to provide comments as to their views on his career, etc.

These can also be found until the Testimonials section.

Born on 12th June 1956 and brought up in the area of Charleston, Dundee, David went on to spend 21 years with Dundee United (coinciding with United's most successful era), obtained 35 International caps and also had a successful season with Raith Rovers before retiring in 1995.

Although many would best remember him as a central defender, he was equally comfortable in a midfield position where he originally started out.

David currently holds the record for the most appearances for Dundee Utd and was also the 1st Utd player to represent Scotland.

When it comes to his International appearances, not many Scots will ever forget his opening goal against Brazil in the 1982 FIFA World Cup.
